The world today is actively blessed by one of God's great Himalayan saints, Mahayogi Baba Lokenath Brahmachari, who lived in the nineteenth century and reached his self-realization after 80 years of yogic austerities. During every age, God enters human form to embody Perfect Love, Compassion, Humility and Divinity for all humankind. Baba Lokenath is one of those manifestations of God who inspires and gently reminds us that Divinity exists within each of us and that it is our potential and our destiny to one day attain that same, perfect union with God.

Thakur

Thakur Sri Sri Bhajan Brahmachari was unique among Himalayan yogis. At play and in his love of silence and prayer, Bhajan’s deep longing for the divine was evident from early childhood. The ecstasy of his devotional chanting and its impact on those around him was the hallmark of his life. Thakur was born in 1925 in what is now Bangladesh. His parents named him Amal. From early childhood, he was often sick and deeply introverted. He expressed an intense longing for God in his play, making beautiful idols of Gods and offering silent worship.
