Bodhi Returns to USA

Bodhi Returns to U.S. After a Four-Year Absence!

Bodhi’s U.S. trips are usually very hectic, involving back-to-back travels, long flights from one city to another without enough rest, frequent gatherings, talks and satsangs. This time around it will be more so, since he is to be covering the whole trip in mere 10 days time.

His first destination had been Chicago where he stayed and conducted talks at Sue Ma’s home which is called ‘Abode of Peace’. They drank many cups of tea with her Zen Cats Norman and Adari, who hover around him like moths to a lamp!

After two days in Chicago, he went to South Bend, Indiana, to stay and hold talks at the house of James, who he lovingly refers to as his American son.

From Indiana, he has traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan to Mark Baba’s lake side home, where he has been staying since yesterday. If you have ever seen the famous photos of Bodhi exuberantly riding a motorboat on a lake, it is on Mark Baba’s lake! Sue Ma drove him all the way to Michigan through the most scenic route. !

All this while, Sue Ma has been video recording ALL of Bodhi’s talks and conversations which keep happening throughout the day since she doesn’t want to let go of a single priceless gem of wisdom flowing from her Master. She has been recording everything by holding her phone in her hand for hours and hours without a break until Bodhi and James thought her hand might just break off from holding the phone up all day! Thus, James gifted her a small tripod! ‎

The ride back to Chicago was uneventful except Sue Ma was so entranced by Bodhi’s words that she almost ran out of gas! After a quick stop at Sue Ma’s with more recording, packing and a refreshing night of sleep, Bodhi has now just arrived in Portland, Oregon. Bodhi wrote this message to me once he reached Portland after a 4-hr long flight:

“Throughout the long flight I made the best use of it by writing musings in Bengali and English for the next quite a few days!” More than four hours passed so beautifully in divine remembrance. What boundless Grace!”

Laurie from Portland reports,

“It was absolutely wonderful tonight with Bodhi at Ann’s. A few old friends from Portland and Seattle gathered at Ann Ma’s home. I feel so Blessed to have some precious moments with Bodhi with a small group. He said his Visa is for 10 years … and He loves coming here because he feels our Love ….so I pray we will see him more often. It has been 4 years since he was here … I love that he is on “American” soil. Bringing Peace”.

More to come….
