Embracing Anger

How do I get rid of my anger?

The first step in learning to manage anger is to recognize it as one of the strongest negative emotions of human life and then deciding to change it toward something more positive.

Transform Anger into Compassion

We must not start condemning our anger, or it will come back to us. We just accept it as one of the deepest instincts of human life, awaiting our recognition and meditation to transform its energy into energy of compassion.

Every time we get angry, we try to separate ourself from the anger, and observe how it rises in our mind like a flame; we need to be aware, and awake to do this. This practice will dissolve the negative energy, and the light of our observation will transform anger into compassion.

Another technique is to perform an act of compassion every day by bringing happiness into the life of someone we care about, or even someone who is not friendly with us. Enjoy being the instrument of Divine Light and speak all that is positive and joyful with others. Kindle the light of hope in others. Learn to take delight in forgiving anyone who has insulted us. Do not hesitate to beg apologies from them, as this will humble our ego, which may be causing the problem for us. When we worship the opposite pole of anger, that is love and compassion, we will see that we have no time for anger anymore.

We need to remember that if we want to be happy in life and want to be spiritual in its truest sense then we try to never cause pain to anyone's heart, for the Lord of the Universe is enshrined in the heart. Be the worshiper of Light and Love and all else will fall into its place. The goal is to put all our efforts into transforming our self from regrets to Regeneration.
